Frozen Spicy Mango Margaritas are made with fresh lime juice, mango chunks and jalapeno pepper. They make for a sweet yet refreshing summertime drink with a spicy kick!
Wipe a lime wedge along the rim of two glasses and coat the rim in salt.
Add all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
Pour the drink in the glass and garnish with a slice of jalapeno or lime wedge.
Notes
I add the liquid ingredients first before adding the frozen ingredients to prevent the mango and ice from melting sooner than necessary.
You can freeze the margaritas by storing them in the freezer. The texture will be more slushy rather than completely frozen. Mix the drink up well in a blender or with a spoon before serving to remix all the flavors together.
You can use pre-packaged frozen mango or fresh mango. If using fresh mango, freeze it on a baking sheet with space in between each cube so that they don't freeze together into a block. Once frozen, you can transfer the mango chunks to a bag and freeze until you're ready to use them in the recipe.
