On top of the apples add the lemon juice, cinnamon and water and mix together.
Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
Use a fork or whisk to break the apples into a chunky applesauce. If you prefer a smooth applesauce, you can use an immersion blender to get a smoother consistency.
Top with whipped cream if desired.
Serve warm or allow the applesauce to cool before storing away for later.
