This easy Apple Crisp is made healthy with whole wheat flour, oats, half the butter and avocado oil. It tastes simply divine and has an irresistable cinnamon oat crumble topping!

Ingredients
For the Filling

lemon juice

For the Crumble Topping

whole wheat flour

cup
old fashioned oats

chopped pecans

brown sugar
packed

cinnamon

teaspoon
baking powder

teaspoon
salt

tablespoons
unsalted melted butter
¼
cup
avocado oil
Instructions
Prepare the Crumble Topping
In a mixing bowl add the whole wheat flour, oats, pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
Pour the melted butter and avocado oil to the mixing bowl and combine. You should get a good crumble texture.
Set the topping aside while you get the apple filling prepared.
Prepare the Filling
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Peel and core the apples. Slice the apples thin about a ¼ of an inch thick.
Next, add the lemon juice to the apples and stir to coat all the slices to help prevent them from browning.
Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cornstarch and cinnamon. Mix to coat well.
Spread the apples into an even layer in a greased 9x11 dish and
spread the topping over the apples.
Bake the Apple Crisp
Bake 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
All the crisp to cool for 15minutes before serving - enjoy!
