Winter calls for cozy recipes and chili always fits the bill. Serve up this Sweet Potato Chili for a healthy comfort food meal!

Made with lean beef or turkey, beans, sweet potatoes and all the good flavor from spices and herbs. This recipe is high in protein and fiber and easy to meal prep for quick dinners or packable lunches.
Ingredients
I made this recipe low sodium with choosing no salt added for the beans and tomatoes.
If you don't have those options in your grocery store you can buy regular beans and then drain and rinse them to remove a good portion of the sodium.
Salt is crucial for flavor, in both sweet and savory recipes, so don't feel like you can't add salt in this recipe.
I prefer to add it during the cooking process at the very beginning. If for some reason you feel it needs more salt, you can always add more before serving.
However, try the recipe this way and see how your taste buds like it - you might be surprised! I find when you I'm more moderate with salt I can taste all the other flavors better.
Making the Chili
This recipe is easy peasy to make with cooking everything in a stockpot.
Start with cooking the turkey or beef until no longer pink. Then add in the veggies and spices and sauté together for 5minutes. Things should be fragrant!
Add the beans, tomatoes and sweet potatoes for the final step before covering and simmering for 30mins.
Boom go do what you gotta do and come back in 30 minutes to the most delish chili!
